About FirstFive

FirstFive Marriage World is home to everything that makes love enjoyable and pleasurable within the first five years.

According to the Pew Research Center, the number of people (male and female) age 25 and older today who have never been married is significantly higher than it was in the 1960s.

Those who do get married, end up getting married later in life. While we could assume people getting married later simultaneously equal getting married better, the data contradicts that stand point.

In the United States alone, National Marriage and Divorce Rate Trends for 2000-2023 by the CDC shows the following:

  • Number of marriages: 2,041,926
  • Marriage rate: 6.1 per 1,000 total population
  • Number of divorces: 672,502 (45 reporting States and D.C.)
  • Divorce rate: 2.4 per 1,000 population (45 reporting States and D.C.)

Now, we could say this is a United States problem. However, divorce.com says otherwise with their data page showing countries with the highest divorce rate

  • Maldives - 10.97
  • Kazakhstan - 4.6
  • Russia - 3.9
  • Belgium - 3.7
  • Cuba - 3.6
  • Belarus - 3.4
  • United States - 2.5
  • Denmark - 2.6
  • Ukraine - 3.1
  • Lithuania - 3.1

If the age for marriage is constantly increasing and the data for divorce on the rise with single parent household data higher than ever before, it means believers in Jesus do not even have the right infrastructure relationally to keep God's original charge: Gen.1.28 (KJV) - And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Every valentine's day, churches globally are attempting to help people enjoy love but relationship conferences do not teach you how to get married, they only teach you what a good marriage looks like.

This is thus the vision of FirstFive: to equip believers to enjoy the first five years of love, marriage and parenting, so they can aspire to the next five years.
