The Married in a Year Tour today announced the launch of its inaugural virtual experience, designed to equip 30+ Christian singles who have been single for three years or more with the mindset, dating strategies, and community needed to pursue marriage intentionally without fatigue or apathy.

A lot of Christians over 30 love God genuinely, and it seems everything is working out except romantic relationships. With the statistics for people getting married later on the increas,e Married in a Year is designed to help people intentionally get married when they truly want to instead of hoping they would someday meet someone great.

The longer people stay in the dating pool, the harder it is to believe they will find their own person. Worse, Christian singles can explain it away as the will of God even though opportunities abound for love.

The Married in a Year Tour is built around the mindset that everything important in life is gotten by being on the proactive, decisive, and committed side of life. If marriage is important, doing the work of dating and connecting should not be relegated to chance. However, many people are proactive but have no strategy so they end up hurt. The tour is designed to help proactive people know what to do better to increase their chances of getting married in a Year exponentially.

Unlike other relationship conferences, Married in a Year is not merely telling you what makes a good relationship; it shows you how to have a good relationship. The tour is more strategy than motivation. Also, our attendees become community members with access to resource materials that help them get married and stay married.

In 2025, our unofficial launch of the Married in a Year community had a member go from single in September of 2025 to legally married by April of 2026. This shows that love is truly available for the one who is looking.

Recently, we brought some of our resource materials online, and people started nominating cities we should bring the Married in a Year Tour to; Abuja, Lagos, Ottawa, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and many more got on the list in the space of twelve days. While we make plans for the physical tour, this virtual edition of the tour will begin to meet people’s needs immediately.

Participants of the virtual edition will understand how they are presently sabotaging their dating lives unintentionally, how they can review their dating strategies, and find over thirty newer ways to meet people outside their present circles.

Also, with the second half of the year beginning, summer in full swing, and multiple events happening, this is the best time to adopt the Married in a Year mindset and explore more dating strategies they have never dared before. This virtual edition will definitely help participants be more courageous and explore more this second half of the year.

The tour is led by Liza Chuma Akunyili, a Matchmaker with a background in education, counselling, and romantic styling. Liza has been a leader in Christian communities since she was seventeen and is not new to the struggles of dating among believers.

“I have heard more people cry from the frustration of their singleness than I have met people who are desperate to get married for status. This frustration is usually because they know they have a lot to offer: years of healing and being in therapy, setting boundaries, making money, building healthy communities, and growing in faith. Yet they go home to no one they can call theirs.

Married in a Year to me is not about sponsoring desperation; it is about helping a wholesome person know how to find another wholesome person and, if they don't, give them the courage to walk away quickly. I do not even want one million people who like and share our work as much as I want to see 10,000 phenomenal people to get married because of our Married in a Year resources”
